Paul Neustadt

Paul sees himself as a spiritual being in a human body, on a healing journey, in this life to learn lessons, to connect with his soul, and to live in accordance with his life purpose. Part of his life purpose has been to share the gift of IFS with others, all the transformations that become possible when we recognize the truths that IFS reveals to us.  Paul is married to the love of his life and has two grown children from whom he has learned a great deal. He is an IFS senior co-lead trainer, taught a monthly seminar for level 1 graduates for over 20 years, and currently provides IFS consultation for individuals and groups.  He has given workshops on The Therapeutic Relationship and the Power of Presence in IFS; Befriending and Valuing Self-Like Parts; The Gifts of Our Exiles: Reconnecting with Our True Self; Direct Access and the Gifts of Protectors; Self-Led Parenting; and a number of other topics. He has written a chapter called “From Reactive to Self-Led Parenting” in a book edited by Martha Sweezy and Ellen Ziskind.

Paul is a clinical social worker who has worked in community mental health and the counseling program of a working class state university, and he has been the director of a community-based counseling and prevention program.

Bob Falconer

For the early decades of his career, Robert Falconer (Bob) focused on work with men who had histories of major sexual and physical abuse as he had. He used various forms of parts work (Ego State Therapy, Gestalt, and Pia Mellody’s work among others), but some 15 years ago he discovered Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and is now focused exclusively on IFS, which he finds to be the most respectful and powerful modality.  His own recovery is the deep basis for all his work.

Bob has taught IFS extensively and internationally online and has led classes and trainings in Pakistan, China, South Korea, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Canada, the UK, and for the Fort Belknap reservation. He has also been on the staff of over 20 of the official IFS institute trainings. Bob has been actively involved with psychedelics since 1967 and continues to view them as a powerful pathway.

He is the author of five books related to IFS and inner healing: Many Minds, One Self (2017), co-authored with Richard C. Schwartz, founder of IFS; The Others Within Us (2023); When Going Through Hell… Keep Going (2024); Opening the Inner World (2025), co-authored with two experts on Emanuel Swedenborg; and Spirit (2025), a compilation drawn from journals of his daily dialogues with Spirit. His early memoir, Self Unbroken: The Foundations of Bob’s Healing from Childhood Sexual Abuse will be published in 2026.

Now at in his late seventies, Bob mostly teaches and leads supervision classes, only occasionally seeing individuals, often with their therapist.

Stephanie Mitchell

Stephanie is a Level 3 Certified IFS Therapist living in Costa Rica. She specialises in working with clients who have experienced early developmental abuse or neglect, especially those who have experiences with a disorganised parent.

Stephanie is specifically interested in how the therapeutic relationship can be used to offer a container for protectors to test out if relationships can truly be safe. In her classes she teaches highly nuanced ways of being ‘in the relational space’ and working with the client’s transference, to allow parts to feel fully welcomed and honoured so they begin to relax and know there is a Self in their own system also.

Stephanie has extensive experience in working with clients who interface with mental health services and is currently undertaking research on IFS for psychosis, through the University of California San Francisco, with co-investigator Professor Ian Whitmarsh.
